Key Milestones & Dates
The operational division of ATCO is where it all began. Until 1975 ATCO based its income mainly on transporting bulk cargo for the Lago Oil Refinery. This division has since grown into a diversified unit.

Established
In 1928, the E. de Veer Transport was founded as part of MetaCorp, a conglomerate of companies in a wide variety of markets. At this time mostly to offer transport business for Exxon’s oil refinery (Lago), later to become ATCO Aruba.

Expansion
In 1995, ATCO Aruba expanded its activities with a block production facility.

spin-off
In 2003, ATCO Aruba forms a spin-off division to concentrate on heavy lift and heavy transports, Caribbean Heavy Lift & Transport Aruba.
